The optimization results and measurement data were used to generate the figures for the publication Pentagonal Photonic Crystal Mirrors: Scalable Lightsails with Enhanced Acceleration via Neural Topology Optimization. The optimization results are created by optimizing PhC unit cells for acceleration distance or time with neural topology optimization. The measurement data is the output from the photodiode captured with the oscilloscope to measure the reflectivity of the fabricated PhC membrane.
