Data from long-running green water experiments in various sea states at model scale
doi: 10.4121/21031981
This is a data set from a model experiment at scale about green water loading on the deck of ship model no. 523 from the Delft Systematic Deadrise Series. The experiment was conducted as the first phase of Work Package B in the “Multi-fidelity probabilistic design framework for complex marine structures” project. The idea of the experiments is to use the wave-current tank at the faculty of 3mE of the Delft University of Technology, in which the model is stationary and water and waves flow past the ship model, allowing for long testing times. The long testing times have resulted in statistically relevant data for green water events.
The data set contains all measured data (wave elevation, motions, resistance, pressures, etc.) for 11 different test cases, all long-running tests in irregular waves. Over the 11 test cases the modelled forward speed, the sea state and the draft of the vessel were varied.
A first article has been written on the basis of the data. It also contains a description of the setup of the experiment. Please cite it as follows when using the data (bibtex at the bottom of this description):

The data itself can also be referenced. Please cite it as follows (bibtex at the bottom of this description):
