Dataset

This data set contains the input data, models, and results from a thermodynamic analysis of a marine SOFC system for 5 alternative fuels. The included fuels are methane, methanol, diesel, ammonia and hydrogen. Additionaly cathode off-gas recirculation (COGR) is investigated to increase heat efficiency. The system is modelled in Cycle-Tempo and python scripts are used for data analysis and generation of figures. The models and results of 10 different systems are shared (5 different fuels all with and without COGR).

The dataset contains the following files:

  • Cycle-Tempo source files (.gui).
  • Visual representation of cycle-tempo models (.JPG).
  • Flow-sheets of thermodynamic models, containing mass flows, temperature, pressure and enthalpy in all components (file).
  • Raw data of simulations for varying voltage of 0.6-0.85V and fuel utilisation of 70%-85% for five different fuels without COGR (.xlsx).
  • Result analysis file (Result analysis.xlsx)
  • Python file that makes contourplot from raw data (countourplot.py)
