CPLCP-GDPT5: Gridded Daily Precipitation & Temperature Dataset at 5 km resolution for Poland enlarged by the Vistula and Odra basins, for the historical period 1971-2000 and the future periods 2021-2050 and 2071-2100, developed within the CHASE-PL project. The CHASE-PL (Climate change impact assessment for selected sectors in Poland) Climate Projections – Bias Corrected Daily Precipitation and Temperature Dataset–5 km (CPLCP-BCDPT5) consists of adjusted historical and projected daily minimum and maximum air temperatures and precipitation totals of nine regional climate simulations provided from the European branch of the coordinated downscaling experiment. These simulations were bias corrected onto a 5 by 5 km grid based on daily gridded CPLFD-GDPT5 as reference data. The main purpose was to provide a new generation of climate projections to study the impact of a climate change on different sectors, including hydrology. The spatial coverage was the same as for the GDPT5 reference data, and corresponded to the Polish territory enlarged by the Vistula and Odra basins. Although continuous simulations covering the whole period 1900 to 2100 have been performed, only a subset of three sub-periods was included in the current data set which corresponds to one historical (1971-2000) and two future (2021-2050 and 2071-2100) periods assuming both RCP4.5 and RCP8.5. The full-length simulations and assuming other RCPs can be obtained upon request to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.
