Dataset

This is a dataset consisting of .csv and Matlab .fig files that correspond to the paper 'An MRI Investigation of Trickle Flow'. In this paper, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is used to characterize the 3D distribution of the two-phase trickle flow inside a slender tube. The distribution is characterized using three parameters: gas-liquid-solid distribution, particle wetting efficiency, and the flow field. The acquired structure and flow MRI images are post-processed to calculate these parameters. A novel post-processing method is introduced to characterize the liquid distribution over individual particle surfaces. This distribution is determined for several axial and radial positions in a tube.
