The data sets contain in the first place an adaptive hypertext of the thesis 'Towards a generic distributed adaptive hypermedia environment'. Setting up an environment to read the thesis requires several steps that depend on the operating system used. The steps are described in a document called setup.html. When accessing the adaptive thesis it provides an option to indicate you're an 'expert'. When you activate this option all content adaptation and adaptive navigation support is turned off, resulting in a complete and completely static presentation of the thesis. In the second place the data sets contain binary and source versions of the software produced within the context of this thesis, namely GALE. Instructions on building GALE from source can be found in build.html.
