Dataset

This dataset contains numerically calculated growth rates for the polydisperse acoustic resonant drag instability. This multi-phase hydrodynamic instability operates when a solid phase drifts with respect to the gas phase at speeds that approach the sound speed, and can be relevant for example for structure formation in stellar winds. This data can be used to generate all figures in the paper "Resonant Drag Instabilities in Polydisperse Dust: I. The Acoustic Resonant Drag Instability", by Paardekooper & Aly (2025). Calculations were done using the publicly available code PSITOOLS.
