Dataset

This dataset includes all the images described in the article: Matching fingerprints on sculptures by the "Bernini of the North". This article studies human impressions discovered on sculptures made in the Amsterdam workshop of Artus I Quellinus over 350 years ago. The two-dimensional images in the dataset have been acquired using digital photography. The dataset is structured as follows:

  • The folder Images Quellinus Full object high resolution.zip contains 20 images in 300 DPI of the sculptures investigated in the mentioned article.
  • The folder Images Quellinus marks high resolution.zip is structured as follows: six sub-folders correspond to six sculptures investigated in the mentioned article. Each of these contains the folder Images of marks, where numbered sub-folders correspond to a mark and contain images in 300 DPI of that mark.
  • The folder Images Quellinus marks low resolution.zip is structured as follows: eight sub-folders correspond to the eight sculptures investigated in the mentioned article. Each of these contains the folder Images of marks, where numbered sub-folders correspond to a mark and contain images of that mark in low resolution.
