Corrected, extended and updated data of the Dateline survey, including some surrounding databases.

Dateline was a large EU-funded survey on long-distance travelling by EU-residents. The survey is highly relevant because data collection on long-distance travel behavior is almost nonexistent and Dateline is by now the most comprehensive and complete survey for Europe. However, the published datasets suffer from a number of serious shortcomings, lowering the usefulness of the data for research. The shortcomings regard, among others, the expansion and many data errors. Expansion of long-distance travel data is always a difficult job, but it could be much better than was done by the Dateline-consortium. We developed new more realistic expansion factors, both for 2002 (the Dateline year) and for 2017 and corrected most of the errors. Moreover, we added new information to the datafiles that might be convenient for researchers.
