The supplementary material to the publication 'Reynolds number effects in shock-wave/turbulent boundary-layer interactions' involves animations of selected dynamic modes that should be considered in conjunction with the discussion. The selected modes include:

  • A representative low-frequency mode from the SPDMD solution of each case (corresponding to figures 24 and 25 in the manuscript, which only show data for cases B1 and B3). The animations include the three-dimensional pressure, streamwise velocity and streamwise vorticity fields, and the corresponding modal frequencies are St_Lsep = 0.076 for the low-Reynolds case B1, St_Lsep =0.047 for the moderate-Reynolds case B2, and St_Lsep =0.039 for the high-Reynolds case B3.
  • A representative mode with oscillation frequency around St_Lsep approx. 0.1 from the SPDMD solution of each case (corresponding to figure 29 in the manuscript, which only shows data for case B3). The animations also include the three-dimensional pressure, streamwise velocity and streamwise vorticity fields.
  • The spanwise-averaged modal pressure from the selected dynamic mode of case B3 associated with St_Lsep approx. 0.1 (corresponding to figure 30 in the manuscript). The animation also includes the reconstructed separation line which is shown in black.
  • The three-dimensional modal pressure of a representative high-frequency mode in the SPDMD solution of case B3 (St_Lsep = 0.375).
