CC BY 4.0 The dataset contains the processed supporting data for the master thesis of Felix Roel entitled "A Better Grasp on the Asymmetrical Adaptation of Grip Force in Response to Friction Perturbations". In this work, we measured the grip force adaptations of 22 participants in response to both friction and load force perturbation. We show that humans in fact do not adapt their grip force in response to an abrupt increase of friction, but do increase their grip force in response to an abrupt decrease of friction.
