Dataset

This dataset contains the properties of optimized aircraft trajectories, exploring trade-offs between reducing flight operating costs (considering flight time and fuel used) and climate impact. The objective of the dataset is to allow the comparison of optimal solutions selected using different decision-making strategies. The dataset was obtained running the ECHAM/MESSy Atmospheric Chemistry (EMAC) model and its submodel AirTraf, including the newly developed SolFinder module. The dataset was used to obtain the results presented in Castino, F., et al.: Decision-Making strategies implemented in SolFinder 1.0 to identify eco-efficient aircraft trajectories: application study in AirTraf 3.0, submitted to Geosci. Model Dev., 2023.
