Dataset
This dataset is prepared to examine the relationship between preschoolers’ experience at their home and their executive functions. The home activity measured includes children’s frequency of engagement in different activities in their home: academics-related activities, spending meal time with family, breakfast at home, pretend play, motor play, fine motor activities, arts and crafts, solitary play, peer play, and sports and physical activity. Parental play beliefs were also measured as one of the home experiences of the preschoolers. The dataset is also used to uncover Hungarian parents’ beliefs about the purpose of preschool education/program and its relationship with their play beliefs. The data collection period ranges from November2018 to February 2019.
