Large-eddy simulation (LES) data for the diurnal cycle on 8 and 9 November 2013 at the Scaled Wind Farm Technology Facility (SWiFT), simulation case "internal.ipa.obs.noT". The LES data has been generated with SOWFA-6 using Mesoscale-to-Microscale Internal Coupling. The forcing methodology was Indirect Profile Assimilation (IPA) and the forcing data was taken from observational data. Large-scale potential temperature forcing was set to zero. The dataset includes data from 9 virtual met masts ("probes") arranged in a 3x3 grid with 1 km spacing, horizontally averaged data, several 2D instantaneous slices, and the large-scale source terms computed by the IPA algorithm. The simulation is described and analysed in the journal article "Using observational mean‐flow data to drive large‐eddy simulations of a diurnal cycle at the SWiFT site" (case A0 therein).

Checkout the README.md file for more information. The SOWFA configuration files to run the simulation as well as all python scripts and Jupyter notebooks used for preprocessing and postprocessing of the data are archived in GitHub repositories under the A2e‐MMC GitHub organization.
