Dataset

This dataset contains historical CAPEX data and deployment data for AEC and PEM electrolysers, which support research on probabilistic forecasting of future electrolyser costs and global capacity expansion. The CAPEX data are sourced from Glenk & Reichelstein (2019), while the deployment data are obtained from the IEA Hydrogen Production and Infrastructure Projects Database (2024). The data were collected from peer-reviewed publications and authoritative international databases, harmonised, and adjusted for inflation where needed. Together, they form the empirical basis for modeling deployment trajectories using logistic S-curves and estimating cost trends with Wright’s Law, providing essential inputs for robust, uncertainty-aware techno-economic analysis.
