This data-set contains the data and code used in the two studies of the manuscript 'Does Personalization Help? Predicting How Social Situations Affect Personal Values'. The data was collected through an online survey. The data includes information about 283 everyday life situations. Each situation is described through text (1-2 sentences), as well as through its psychological characteristics. Furthermore, each situation is annotated whether it promotes, demotes or does not affect the personal value "enjoyment of life" both from the people who described the situation and from external annotators. With this data we attempt to predict how a social situation affects the personal value by using as input the psychological characteristics of the situation. The data is organized in different files so that it can be used directly in the implemented predictive models.
