Data underlying the research project: Genotype-specific reference interval of haptoglobin tests on the BN II System
doi: 10.4121/20152226
This study was designed to investigate the reference intervals of serum HP on the BN II System for different genotype individuals. The data submitted are the basic conditions and clinical laboratory test data of 1229 healthy people, including Gender, Age, white blood cell (WBC), hemoglobin (HGB), alanine transaminase (ALT), glucose (GLU), cholesterol (CHO), Triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), haptoglobin concentration and genotype. Before blood collection, individuals were instructed to maintain a normal diet within 3 days and fast overnight (>8 hours). The exclusion criteria were set as follows: WBC>9.5 G/L, HGB<90 g/L, ALT>50 U/L, CHO≥5.69 mmol/L, TG≥2.26 mmol/L, LDL≥4.14 mmol/L, GLU>6.1 mmol/L. Serum HP concentrations were measured by BN II System (Siemens AG, Munich, Germany). WBC, HB levels were determined by XN-2000 (Sysmex, Kobe, Japan). ALT, CHO, TG, LDL, GLU measurements were determined by AU 5800 (Beckman Coulter, Brea, USA). HP genotyping was determined by gel electrophoresis method and real-time PCR method.
