The aim of this Marie Curie Individual fellowship is to analyze material transformations of Sarajevo—the destruction and temporary reconstruction of buildings and streets caused by the war (1992-1996)—from documents (including videos, photos, and drawings) produced by many authors during wartime, relying on the experiences of each citizen-author. Finding and analysing citizens’ war documents is important in the shared process of collective memory creation by all Bosnian citizens and war refugees who today are citizens of EU countries, but also for academic research, post-war reconstruction, and art projects.
