Collection

This collection is meant to contain all published datasets regarding the Generic Cyclist Model (GCM). The individual datasets contain the actual data about the GCM, while this collection is simply an umbrella vehicle that links all the data together.

This is how it works:

  • The GCM is an anthropomorphic, realistic cyclist model that is freely accessible to everyone. Using this open-data cyclist model for cycling aerodynamic research allows the community to advance on the results of others and, so, advancing our knowledge of the flow around a rider.
  • When you use GCM data, we kindly ask you to cite this collection and the appropriate dataset.
  • When you publish a new manuscript that uses GCM data, we kindly urge you to publish the underlying data, openly accessible, on the 4TU repository as a new dataset.
  • A new dataset about the GCM can be linked to the GCM collection by the owner only. Please sent an e-mail to w.terra@tudelft.nl and a.sciacchitano@tudelft.nl to establish the link.
  • Please include all relevant research data in a new dataset, such as the obtained flow field and, if applicable, the modified cyclist geometry. Please use commonly used data formats and provide a readme file explaining how to interpret the data.
  • In case of doubts please contact w.terra@tudelft.nl.
