This collection comprises datasets related to the doctoral dissertation 'Untangling the complexity of local water management during armed conflict: Comparative case studies from the Middle East,' completed at the Department of Technology, Policy and Society at the University of Twente under the supervision of dr. Gül Özerol and prof. dr. Michiel Heldeweg. The research comprised a total of twelve case studies across Iraq, Palestine, Syria and Yemen, informed by empirical evidence from a range of primary and secondary data sources. Data shared via this collection only includes primary data specifically collected for the purpose of this research. Details on primary data provided by other researchers and on secondary data sources are available in the dissertation, Annex 1.
