This dataset contains nearshore field measurements of the RealDune/REFLEX experiments at the Dutch coast in the Autumn/Winter of 2021/2022. Two artificial, unvegetated dunes were constructed on the Sand Engine at separate locations, and monitored during calm conditions, moderate conditions, and storm conditions with dune erosion in the collision regime. A total of three storms occurred that resulted in erosion of the dune face. Hydrodynamic measurements of the dataset include pressure sensor and velocimeter data at multiple locations in the nearshore. Morphodynamic measurements include optical backscatter data, bathymetry and topography surveys, and a continuous cross-shore line-scanning lidar dataset.
