Biography
Jagoda Cupać is an Assistant Professor in the group of Structural Design & Building Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering & Geosciences at TU Delft. She’s been working in the field of glass and façade engineering, in practice and research, since 2010. She holds a PhD degree from EPFL on the topic of Post-tensioned glass beams. As postdoc researcher at TU Dresden, she worked on glass circularity and reuse of end-of-life building components, leading to her present role at TU Delft with a focus on Circular Design of Structures.
Jagoda's research focuses on (re)applying circular practices to the built environment. As a structural engineer, she studies the mechanical properties of end-of-life glazing materials, redesigns components for reuse and adaptation, and promotes circular approaches to support a shift toward a less wasteful and more regenerative built environment.
Her work encourages collaboration across disciplines and sectors through open science, education, community engagement, co-creation, and the sharing of knowledge, skills, and resources. Jagoda is dedicated to fostering networks built on interdependence, cooperation, and care, and strives to create synergies between education, research, art, and activism.
