Measurements in physical model representing the Dutch Waal river on a scale 1:30. Model includes groynes in a groyne field, with on one side the main channel and the other side the floodplain. Measurement include the flow velocity in the horizontal plane, measured with EMS, and water level elevations measured with lasers. Measurements are done upstream and downstream of each groyne and on some of the groyne crests.
Measurements are done with and without groynes.
