## Saturated imaging of laser confocal microscopical imaging data of internal transparent microdefects of polarizers
### Introductory information
The dataset is a sample set of internal transparent microdefects of polarizers. Each sample consists of a saturated image and a corresponding laser confocal microscopical imaging image.
### Data specific information
The dataset contains only one file named saturated_confocal_imgs.mat created by Matlab 2017b. After loading this file in Matlab, two 3D matrix variables, 'saturated_img' and 'confocal_img', respectively represent the saturated images and its corresponding laser confocal microscopical images. Totally 113 pairs of saturated images and corresponding laser confocal microscopical images can be found.
Image intensity is normalized to [0, 1]. For all of the confocal image data, the zero value represents the minimum depth of 15um, and the value one represents the maximum depth of 60um. The defect depth maps can therefore be computed by a linear mapping.
