00:00:01
Speaker 1: Great. So how was it like in general for your first week to live with Zuko?
00:00:12
Speaker 2: It's nice. Yeah. It's, uh, like, it's. It's just interesting to try and find spaces for her to lie or to, like, look at the way that light falls in my house[JZ1]. So I'm more aware of that, I guess, because I feel like when it's day, when it's like a full bright day, then there's still a lot of light coming in directly from the windows. So at first I was like, Maybe that's too intense. And then I tried moving her a little bit further back and just trying different things. So it's like there's something living in your house and you're trying to make make it comfortable for her. So something like that, yeah.
00:00:54
Speaker 1: And is there anything specific you would like to share?
00:00:58
Speaker 2: Anything specific? I really liked the idea of having her hanging and not just laying, but sort of like having the light go through or something. [JZ2]So that's what I. That's the way I've been keeping her.
00:01:13
Speaker 1: Um, why do you say you like it?
00:01:15
Speaker 2: I don't know. It just feels like, um. Just having it flat is very, like. I don't know. It just feels a little bit more organic this way or something. I see. Yeah.
00:01:27
Speaker 1: And what did you notice in Nezuko over the first week?
00:01:32
Speaker 2: Um, I didn't know how long it would take before, like, changes started to happen, So, um, at first I was like, I don't know if, if, if, if I'm doing the right thing[JZ3]. Um, but, um, yeah, gradually, I think, I think the, the colors started showing and just really that excited me as well, just to see like, oh, there's change. It's doing something good. I think it's like trying to find a sweet spot[JZ4], I guess I see in the house. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:02:05
Speaker 1: And can you give a, like an example, um, in the past week that you see something in it and then you try to move it around? Do you remember something specific?
00:02:18
Speaker 2: I think I started noticing it first, so I think at first I put her there and then at the TV and she was laying down. Then I put her over on that side and then I don't know, I think at some point I put her here as well, like to see if the height was. Uh, to see if that maybe had an impact as well because there's different like levels to it or something. Um, and I think in this area it felt like it was the most thriving or something, so and then the hanging as well, um, seemed to, I think, have an impact or something.
00:03:00
Speaker 1: How did you know that? Is it because of the color change? Yeah, I think.
00:03:03
Speaker 2: That's when I started noticing the color changing.
00:03:05
Speaker 1: I see.
00:03:06
Speaker 2: But it could be just like the process, but at the same time it just feels like, okay, I'm going to hang. And then then I put her there and then that's really when I noticed the most change. I see.
00:03:18
Speaker 1: So it's kind of the best spot here. Yeah. You figure it out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You mentioned you were quite excited when you see the color change and did you feel anything else? Any other feelings in the process?
00:03:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's not like completely the same color or something or like a little darker. So I thought, oh, maybe there's still different ways that this can react to light. So or I don't know. So it was also a little afraid that maybe I'm doing something wrong or there's too much air bubbles appearing or like, um, I don't want to mistreat her or something. Yeah. Um, yeah, yeah. Stuff like that. Yeah. And.
00:04:00
Speaker 1: And so far, do you understand why the color changes like this or why the air bubble appears? I think.
00:04:08
Speaker 2: I mean, it must be reacting to the conditions of the house and of the light of the air. I guess maybe. I haven't thought about the air bubbles appearing like connecting to. It's also air purifying. Right. So maybe there's a connection there as well. Um. And yeah, so, so I think that and I don't know, I still think there's still a lot of yellow and like scared that it won't be fully purple like this. That's what I hope but yeah. Um.
00:04:47
Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Okay, So, uh, you think it changed the bubble because it produces some Oxygen.
00:04:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe. Yeah.
00:04:55
Speaker 1: The color is because it's doing better than before, but still not. Not like, fully.
00:05:01
Speaker 2: Not fully there yet, but there's still another week left, so. Yeah, yeah, that's.
00:05:07
Speaker 1: Um. And our next question is, how much time did you find yourself set aside for for taking care of her?
00:05:17
Speaker 2: I think just like general morning and evening check ups. So I would check in the morning. It's also this is where I have my breakfast. So it's always next to to me so I can always check on it. Um, and then in the evening, if I would come home, then I would also check and see if there's any changes and if there were like so over the, the course of the week, if there were no changes, then I would usually move her around. And then so the last couple of days I noticed that there was change. So I would leave her here at the end of the day. [JZ5]So yeah.
00:05:58
Speaker 1: So some moments in a day, Yeah. Yeah. And did it change your daily routine?
00:06:04
Speaker 2: Did it change it? Um, it's more like a added something extra, not necessarily change it. I see. No.
00:06:14
Speaker 1: So it's more like, uh, you are having breakfast anyway. Yeah. Set aside. Set aside?
00:06:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:06:22
Speaker 1: Um, okay. And next couple of questions will be about how did you take care of it? You already mentioned that you put it there and then also there and then hang it. And what, what else did you do to to her?
00:06:39
Speaker 2: Um, I would. I guess sometime when I would be moving or or just looking at her, I would also just sort of like hang and sort of wiggle around a little bit. I don't know, um, sort of check the air bubbles. I would, I guess play with that a little bit to feel. But I don't want to like, I don't know, maybe it felt a little bit like it was, you know, not not fragile, but vulnerable a little bit. So I didn't want to be too rough. I see. Um, I would I washed her before you came, but I've been doing that throughout the week as well, just to make sure it's not too dusty. Um, yeah, I don't know. Other than that, I just let her be in her place.
00:07:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, I see. So just most trying to lay in different places. Yeah. And then when you found a kind of nice spot and you let it. Let her be there. Yeah. And when you check it, you would just.
00:07:43
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. And like, hang it and Yeah. Compare it to the white or just compare it to the colors. Yeah.
00:07:52
Speaker 1: Nice. Um, okay. Uh. Okay. Can you show me, for example, where you place her? At home. Why did you choose those particular spaces?
00:08:06
Speaker 2: Um, yeah, I. So I placed her here in. In the windowsill. Like this. Yeah, I'm just.
00:08:14
Speaker 1: Going to take some photos. Yeah, sure.
00:08:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, This is.
00:08:19
Speaker 1: Where I started, and then I moved over here.
00:08:27
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:08:27
Speaker 1: And then I moved her here. I also started hanging her here.
00:08:34
Speaker 2: Why did you choose this place?
00:08:37
Speaker 1: Um, it's also something that's very visible for me. Um, because when I enter the house and when I sit here or when I'm behind my computer, so it's always there. Very central place. But I thought it was too dark here. Just. And then I also moved up here like this. And then it was like, it looks nice as well, I guess.
00:09:02
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. It's like some kind of decoration.
00:09:05
Speaker 1: Yeah, like a decoration. Yeah. Um, and then finally, it was here.
00:09:09
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
00:09:12
Speaker 1: Right. It's also starting to be darker. Darker green as well.
00:09:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I also see that and all especially in this area with a few spots. And why do you think is that only.
00:09:28
Speaker 1: The the green. Yeah. There.
00:09:31
Speaker 2: Um, but also why is it more greener.
00:09:33
Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know. It's. This is also where the color is changing the most and it's getting more green. So. But, and you said that this was for the indication of health, but this was the actual bacteria. So. So maybe they're focusing here or something more most active here. I see. I don't know. Um.
00:09:53
Speaker 2: Could it be because the band starts somehow from here?
00:09:57
Speaker 1: It could be. I don't know.
00:09:58
Speaker 2: Maybe I should hang her more like this.
00:10:02
Speaker 1: Yeah. Let's see how it reacts later. Okay. Um. Yeah, we've covered this, and, um. Yeah, I. I think we kind of covered. So the next question is, how did it respond to your actions? Maybe you could elaborate more on it.
00:10:25
Speaker 2: And respond to my actions. Um, I guess, um, because I wasn't seeing a lot of change in the beginning. Um, I, um, I guess that was her way of telling me that it wasn't the right spots. Um, and I think when I finally started to notice change it, it really, I don't know, it felt like it's hard to, hard to say like. This. These spots are just also spaces that I occupy a lot. So maybe there's just more air here. I don't know how that works, but it's just, uh, I guess. I guess these are comfortable spots for her as well as me. Maybe there's I, I really don't necessarily want to say that I believe that, but it could be a reason. But, um, yeah, I mean, there's something living there, so it, it responds to that in a way. Um, yeah, yeah. Hard to say. Yeah.
00:11:42
Speaker 1: So you cannot find a very direct link between what you do and how, how she.
00:11:52
Speaker 2: It's, it's.
00:11:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's, it's, I guess more. I'm trying to find the sweet spot, Um, and I'm really only doing that when I guess the only thing is I, I really do try to find that sweet spot because she is showing me different colors. And when she wasn't showing me that, I knew I had to find to look more. But now that it's sort of now we're now it's like I don't really move around as much. So we're not necessarily communicating, but there is more change happening, so this must be a good spot for her.
00:12:24
Speaker 2: I see. Yeah.
00:12:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's clear. Yeah.
00:12:28
Speaker 2: Mhm.
00:12:29
Speaker 1: How did you feel when you noticed any change in her and why did you feel that?
00:12:36
Speaker 2: Um, I felt excited. Like I said. Um. Um, what was the second part of the question?
00:12:46
Speaker 1: Uh, why did you feel.
00:12:47
Speaker 2: Why did I feel that?
00:12:49
Speaker 1: Yeah, because I. It felt like I was doing something right. Um, that I was doing what? What I needed to do to, uh, make her healthy, uh, or at least on the path to a healthy, um. And, um, I was also a little, like, scared or worried because the color isn't exactly like the papers. Mhm. Um, that maybe there was also other factors that I hadn't that maybe come up that are still a little bit unknown. For example. Um, so there's also a little bit of like insecurity there that hopefully it will turn out all right. But um, yeah, I think it is like, yeah, overall I'm like happy that, that, that the positive change is, is, is happening.
00:13:44
Speaker 2: Yeah, I can understand. Yeah.
00:13:46
Speaker 1: Um, do you feel overall motivated to take care of her?[JZ6]
00:13:50
Speaker 2: Mhm. Yeah. Yeah.
00:13:51
Speaker 1: And why?
00:13:53
Speaker 2: Um, because it, it feels like, um, there's such a visible response to, to putting her in a space that's comfortable and, um, also, um, knowing that there's like a, uh, the air filtering quality or like, there's something that, that there's also a reward for doing it right, I guess. Um, yeah. And, and it's just also like, I like purple, so I really want to be like, I want to make it so that she's fully purple and that it's like nice to look at. It's just nice to see and yeah.
00:14:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's very interesting.
00:14:38
Speaker 2: And what would, what would motivate you even more? What do you think could be more?
00:14:46
Speaker 1: Um. Just like with, with her specifically or um.
00:14:56
Speaker 2: Yeah. With her specifically.
00:14:58
Speaker 1: Mhm. Motivate me even more.
00:15:08
Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess. I guess if I saw a change that, um, I didn't know was possible, but it would be a positive one or something like growing extra or more or like a completely new color that isn't even on this. I see. And I would be like, Whoa, what is happening? Maybe something special is happening or something like that that would motivate me more.
00:15:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, something unexpected.
00:15:34
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
00:15:35
Speaker 1: And do you think if, let's say I don't give you this cards and I just let you to see any change, Right? That'd be more like, motivated because.
00:15:45
Speaker 2: Um.
00:15:46
Speaker 1: Kind of discover.
00:15:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be interesting because, um, but, but it would also be like more difficult because you wouldn't know if you're doing it right or wrong, I guess. Um, but it's nice. Like this is a nice thing to, to have as a, as a reference, but that there would also be like a secret color to achieve something.
00:16:12
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:16:12
Speaker 2: Friends is like a blue.
00:16:14
Speaker 1: Yeah. Like a.
00:16:15
Speaker 2: Blue or like something like.
00:16:16
Speaker 1: That. Yeah.
00:16:17
Speaker 2: Yeah. Interesting.
00:16:18
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:16:19
Speaker 2: So you're really driven by its visual qualities[JZ7].
00:16:22
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:16:22
Speaker 2: Absolutely.
00:16:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:16:26
Speaker 2: Um, this would be the final question. So does this experience of living with her remind you of, uh, for instance, taking care of any other things like a plant or animal or person?
00:16:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, other things.
00:16:43
Speaker 2: Yeah. It's like taking care of a plant or. I think it's also nice that you asked me to name her. Um, because it's also a bit pet. Like, because I wouldn't, I wouldn't name my plants, but I would name a pet. But in this because it feels more like directly, visibly alive or something. I see. And a plant of course grows and it like new new leaves appear, but it's always a gradual, more gradual process. And this is like within one week there's already so much changing. Yeah. Um, it feels more like, um, something that needs more care, I guess, and in a different way than a plant would where you water it, or at least like in my knowledge of taking care of plants is just like you water it. And I don't change the position of plants at all, even though maybe I should. But it just feels like I have a very there's a very clear like instruction and, and then it's on me to make sure that.
00:17:52
Speaker 1: She's.
00:17:53
Speaker 2: Healthy. Yeah.
00:17:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, I see. Yeah.
00:17:56
Speaker 2: Nice. Um, let me see. Question this. Yeah. So this would be the questions for this interview. And now I would like to ask you to share the photos you've taken so far. Maybe you've already sent me some. Yeah. Do you have any other or.
00:18:19
Speaker 1: Uh.
00:18:19
Speaker 2: I think I sent you everything.
00:18:21
Speaker 1: All the photos. Okay, great. Yeah. Then, yeah.
00:18:24
Speaker 2: Um, keep up for the second week. I'm curious on what's going to happen.
00:18:28
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:18:29
Speaker 2: Yeah, no problem.
