The file "2017GL074857_ds01.csv" contains the event catalog.

The data set was produced within the project Space2rain funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).

Kai Lochbihler, Geert Lenderink, A. Pier Siebesma (2017): The spatial extent of
rainfall events and its relation to precipitation scaling., Geophysical Research Letters, doi:10.1002/2017GL074857

Each line holds the attributes for one rainfall event. The first line gives the
variable names which are:
precip The peak precipitation rate. The unit is mm/5 min.
size The size at the peak of the event defined as the square root of the rainfall area. The unit is km.
Td The paired dew point temperature. Unit is degree Celsius.
duration The duration of the event. Unit is minutes.
type The type of the event: 1 is solitary track, 2 means that the event involves merging and/or splitting of rain cells.
