***General Introduction***
This dataset contains data collected during column reactor experiments at Wageningen University, as part of Jinsong Wang's PhD Thesis project (2018-2023):
It is being made public both to act as supplementary data for publications and the PhD thesis of Jinsong Wang and in order for other researchers to use this data in their own research.
All data files were named with a description of the type of measurements.

***Purpose of the test campaign***
The purpose of these experiments was to investigate the effects of substrate loading rates on organic micropollutant biodegradation in rapid sand filters.

***Equipment***
Details of the measurement equipments and other methodology are mentioned in the published article mentioned above.

***Description of the data in this data set***
This set contains the following files:
- The raw data and processed data on the removal of paracetamol, metformin, 2,4-D, MCPP and benzotriazole in a long-term operational condition (the data link to Figures 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, S8, S11 and S13);
- The raw data on the concentrations of Benzotriazole, ammonia, NO3 and NO2 and the copy numbers of amoA gene at different layers in ammonia column reactor (the data link to Figure 5);
- The concentrations of paracetamol and benzotriazole at different layers in DOM column reactor (The data link to Figures S8 and S9);
- The raw data on the concentrations of ammonia, NO3 and NO2 in ammonia column reactor (the data link to Figures 5, S5 and S12);
- The raw data on the concentrations of DOM in influent and effluent samples collected from DOM column reactor (the data link to Figures 3 and S4);
- The raw data on the concentrations of all OMPs in influent in three column reactors (the data link to Figure S1);
- The data on the removal of 10 OMPs in three column reactors (the data link to Figure S7);
- The qPCR data on the copy numbers of total 16S rRNA, amoA, tfdA and sdpA genes at different layers of column reactors (the data link to Figures 5, S9 and S10).
