***General Introduction***
The dataset contains data collected during the study of the ischemic stroke in Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As part of Dr. Yan Xiangli's thesis project, it is being published as the original data of the publication and Yan Xiangli's doctoral thesis.

The data in this dataset was collected from the Chinese Medicine College of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2017 to 2019. The research project was supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (81873228), Science Program for Overseas Scholar of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (XH20170108), and Project of Educational Commission of Guangdong Province (2017KZDXM018).

***Purpose of the study***
The purpose of this experiment was to screen the neuroprotective ingredients from BHD fraction. The whole uncropped images of the original western blots have been named and uploaded and the data about neurological function scoring, brain water content, cerebral infarction volume, biochemical indicators have been uploaded.

***Test equipment***
All experiments used Transmission electron microscopy, microplate reader, Bio-Rad ChemiDoc Touch Imaging System and UPLC-QTOF-MS/MS. Statistical analysis was performed by one-way analysis of variance with SPSS 17.0 software.
