***General Introduction***
This dataset contains data collected during investigation of hydrogels based on natural polymers (gelatin, sodium alginate),
as part of the research project "Gelatin-alginate hydrogels for hard-to-heal wounds"(April-November 2023)
It is being made public both to act as supplementary data for publications and the PhD
thesis of Olha Maikovych and in order for other researchers to use this data in their own work.
The data in this data set was collected in the Institut des Molecules et Materiaux du Mans of the
Le Mans University - Faculty of Science and Technology, between 1 April 2023 and 30 November 2023.
This research project was made possible by a MSCA4Ukraine grant, ID number 1232572.
Funded under the EUs Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions.

***Purpose of the test campaign***
The purpose of these experiments was to investigate thermal properties of natural polymers and hydrogels based on these polymers.

***Test equipment***
All tests were performed on a DSC25 TA instrument. The TRIOS software was using for DSC treatment.
The raw material and air dried hydrogels were investigated in the procedure:
Equilibrate 15,00 C; Ramp 10,00 C/min to 180,00 C
The original Hydrogels were investigated in the procedure:
Equilibrate 0,00 C; Ramp 1,00 C/min to 100,00 C

***Description of the data in this data set***
The data included in this data set has been organised per specimen. The files follow the
nomenclature system: X_Type of hydrogel_(Ratio)_Method of drying with
X = indicating the number of synthesis
Type of hydrogel = "G" - based on gelatin, "GA" - based on gelatin-alginate
Ratio = ratio of cross-linker and base
Method of drying = indicating that the sample was air dried , unless otherwise specified, then the original sample was taken
The files (.txt) have the information about date, time, equipment and details of measurement.
Opening files (.tri) requires special software, e.g TRIOS software.
