***General Introduction***
This dataset contains the data collected in a research survey in Malawi as part of Evance Hlekwayo Moyos PhD thesis at the University of Johannesburg (June 2024). It is being made available as part of the supplementary data for publications by Evance Moyo and to enable other researchers to use the data for their own work. After literature review, a questionnaire was developed for survey data collection. Eight research assistants collected The data through a June and July 2022 survey. The sample was collected from 352 respondents. The research was self-funded.

***Purpose of the research***
The research was conducted to investigate the link between the cold supply chain issues and sustainability performance, identify improvement opportunities and barriers for the cold supply chain in Malawi, and analyse the long-term impact of the redesigned sustainable supply chain through developing a sustainable cold supply chain model.

***Description of the data in this data set***
The data contains the design science approach used. It starts from the literature review process to understand the problem, through the data collection process, data analysis method (using SPSS version 28) and the simulation process (using Arena software).
