2. Methodological Information
Data was collected via an in-person event and online recruiting such as university email announcements, and social media. Participants attended a small private university in the northwestern United States. SPSS was used to process data in the form of a Pearsons r correlation.
Scores on individual items on the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 range from 0 to 3. Overall scores on the range from 0-27 on the PHQ-9 and 0-21 on the GAD-7. Higher scores indicate more severe depression/anxiety.
Scores on individual items on the Hayman work-life balance scale range from 1-7 and the overall score ranges from 1-7. The final score is calculated by averaging all of the responses. The higher the score, the more work-life balance an individual experiences.
3. Data Specific Information
The Patient Health Questionaire-9 is abbreviated as PHQ9 and also appears as PHQ9TOTAL. The Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 is abbreviated as GAD7 or GAD7TOTAL. The Hayman 15-item work-life balance scale is abbreviated as HWLBS or HWLBS TOTAL. The word significance is abbreviated to sig. in some tables.
No units of measurement apply to data presented in this report as it reports frequencies, percentages, or Pearsons r correlation coefficient and everything is clearly labeled.
