o General description of the dataset:
This dataset is related to a systematic review of scientific articles to identify the direct and indirect impacts of floods on healthcare facilities (HCFs) and the risk management strategies implemented to address these challenges. The data lists the non-duplicate records resulted from searching electronic/bibliographic databases for articles written in English, the reports retrieved after screening and the studies included after full-text eligibility assessments.

********* Methodological information *********
	o Data collection:
Data (i.e., list of publication, which in this case, refers to scientific articles) was sourced from four bibliographic databases (i.e., MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science and Scopus) on 20 November 2023. An example of the search query for one of the databases is given below. The search resulted 7500 records from the four databases. After removing duplicate records, 3719 non-duplicate records (Medline-Embase-WoS-SCOPUS_NoDuplicates_3719.xlsx) were screened by title and abstract if they are relevant to the study. After excluding 3484 records, 235 reports were sought for retrieval and full-text eligibility check (Eligibility_and_Inclusion_235.xlsx). Finally, after removing 161 reports either because they were not retrieved or did not meet the inclusion criteria, 74 studies were included in the systematic review (IncludedStudies_74.xlsx). The study was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guideline for systematic reviews (https://doi.org/10.1136/bmj.n71). The online platform Rayyan (https://www.rayyan.ai/) was used to facilitate the screening process.

********* Data specific information **********
o Medline-Embase-WoS-SCOPUS_NoDuplicates_3719.xlsx - this file contains all the 3719 non-duplicate records obtained after searching the four bibliographic databases. The Excel file has 22 columns including the Publication Year, Author, Title, Publication Title (i.e., Journal name), ISSN, DOI and Abstract. The data has standard journal article headings that can be recognized by any reference management software (e.g., EndNote and Zotero) or review platform (e.g., Rayyan).
o Eligibility_and_Inclusion_235.xlsx - this file contains 235 reports sought for retrieval and eligibility. The Excel file contains seven columns:
		- title - article title
		- year - publication year
		- journal - journal name
		- authors
		- doi - Digital Object Identifier
		- retrieval - this column indicates whether the record was "Retrieved" or "Not retrieved". Only assumes one of the two values.
		- Eligibility (Full text review) - this column indicates if the record is "Included" or "Excluded". If included, more information is provided in the file below. If a record was "Not retrieved", it is automatically "Excluded." If an article was "Retrieved" but "Excluded", a reason was provided.
o IncludedStudies_74.xlsx - this file contains the 74 studies included and analyzed in the systematic literature review. The Excel file contains 19 columns:
		- Title - article title
		- Year - publication year
		- Authors
		- Type of study - this column indicates if the study was a "case report" (i.e., related to specific HCFs or flood events) or a "qualitative_quantitative" analysis (i.e., surveys or interviews of several HCFs)
		- Type of Hazard - this column indicates the type of hazard (i.e., "Hurricane" or "Flood"). "Hurricane" signifies hurricane-induced flooding
		- Hazard sub-type - this column indicates the specific names of hurricanes (e.g., Hurricane Katrina) or the type of flood (i.e., "Riverine" or "Pluvial"). In some cases, hurricane names may not be specifically mentioned (or multiple hurricane names are mentioned). When the type of flood is not specified, the value is "NS".
		- Study country - the country where the studies were conducted (e.g., Australia)
		- Study area - the specific area within a country where the studies were conducted (e.g., New York City). "NR" = not reported
		- Healthcare facility type - the type of HCF. The values can be "Hospitals", "LTCFs" (i.e., long-term care facilities), "Pharmacies", "Dialysis center", "PHC" (i.e., primary health center), "Postacute rehabilitation facility" and "HCF_mixed" (i.e., more than one of the mentioned HCF types)
		- Healthcare facility - name - Specific name of a facility (e.g., Charity Hospital) or the type and number of facilities included in a study (e.g., 16 NHs). NH = nursing home; ALC = assissted living community; ALF = assissted living facility, HCF = healthcare facility, NR = not reported, NS = not specified
		- Direct/indirect damage on facility - Assumes one of the three values: "Flooded-Basement" if basements of facilities are flooded; "Flooded-Other" if the flooding of other (above-ground) parts of the facilities were reported; "NR" if no information about the flooding of a specific area of a facility was reported
		- Death and injuries - "Deaths" or "Injuries" if death or injuries were explicitly reported; "No Deaths" if no death or injuries were explicitly reported; "NR" if no information about death/injuries was reported
		- Power failure - "Yes" if power failure (electricity interruption) was reported, "No" if no power failure was explicitly reported, "NR" if no information about power failure was reported
		- Interruption of water supply - "Yes" if water supply interruption was reported, "No" if no water supply interruption was explicitly reported, "NR" if no information about water supply interruption was reported
		- Interruption of telecommunication service - "Yes" if telecommunication service interruption was reported, "No" if no telecommunication service interruption was explicitly reported, "NR" if no information about telecommunication service interruption was reported
		- Evacuated or Sheltered in place - "Sheltered" if only shelter in place was reported; "Evacuated-*" if only patient evacuation was reported. "Before" and "After" denotes when the evacuation occured in relation to the flood event. In some studies, evacuations were reported "Both" before and after. Other studies did not specify ("NS") the timing of evacuations. If both strategies were reported in a study, the value is "Sheltered and Evacuated-*"). In case of pharmacies and dialysis centers, patient evacuation or shelter in place are not applicable ("NA"). "NR" if no information about patient evacuation or shelter in place was reported
		- Disaster plan - "Yes" if availability of disaster/emergency/preparedness plans was explicitly reported; "NR" if no info concerning the avilability of such plans was reported
		- Generators/alternative power source - "Yes" if availability of generators/alternative power source was explicitly reported; "NR" if no info concerning the avilability of generators/alternative power source was reported
		- Temporary and permanent Structural measures - "Yes-Permanent*" and "Yes-Temporary*" if some form of temporary or permanent structural measures were reported. The type of measures were also specified. "NR" if no such measures were reported
