***General Introduction***
This file contains sample questionnaires in Dutch and English and 95 tenant responses to a household survey. There were six questionnaires for the three housing corporations in Dutch and English and each questionnaire had the same questions – what varied was question two whether the tenant names and house numbers have been removed to protect their privacy and keep that part of the questionnaire confidential. A README text file is also included.

The questionnaire is divided into four sections, with questions on:
1.	Whom do the tenants know in the flat, consisting of Q1 and Q2
2.	Tenants trust in neighbours & Organizations, consisting of Q1 to Q6
3.	Tenants’ perceptions of different energy sources, consisting of Q7 and Q17
4.	Demographic information on tenant and household, consisting of Q18 and Q24

***How to Use***
The dataset contains the raw data as provided by respondents. Personal data has been removed. The dataset was not converted to numbers so that the string variables can be maintained as is. Likert scale questions were interpreted as follows:

Q4, 6, 7, 10, 11, and 17
•	Strongly disagree	1
•	Disagree 2
•	Neutral 3
•	Agree 4
•	Strongly agree 5

In relation to the Capability, Opportunity, Motivation and Behavioural (COM-B) change model, the questions were divided as follows:
COM-B component	Question
•	Social Opportunity - Q4 on interpersonal trust of neighbours and other people (generally)
•	Physical Opportunity - Q6 on institutional trust (municipality, housing corporation, energy supplier and central government).
•	Capability - Q7 on knowledge and understanding of difference energy sources and energy transition (including Warmtenet – district heating)
•	Motivation - Q10, 11 and 17 on tenant perceptions regarding natural gas (Q10), Warntenet (Q11), and electricity (Q17).
•	Behaviour - Q12 on whether the tenants agree to switch from natural gas to other cleaner energy sources (if the energy bill and the rent remains the same)

Demographic questions were limited to house number, gender, years that the tenant has lived in the housing corporation building, tenant’s first language, age, education and current work situation.

***Purpose of the dataset***
This dataset is a deliverable of the ENRGISED research project, funded by the NWO Call for Complexity & the Creative Industry: transitions & Resilience. ENRGISED is an acronym for ENgaging Residents in Green energy Investments through Social networks, complExity, and Design. It is a research project between the TU Delft, Utrecht University, and several private partners. The project's aim is to develop a replicable intervention strategy for municipalities that can stimulate households to transition away from natural gas towards green energy alternatives. The assignment is in partial fulfilment of WorkPackages A1, A2 and A4:
•	A1: “Qualitative measurement of networks & thresholds” and the specific project activity is titled: “Qualitative user research on households’ characteristics & susceptibility” (deliverable A1.1).
•	A2: “Activation of seed households”and the specific project activity is titled: “Determine motivation, ability & opportunity factors of seed households” (deliverable A2.1).
•	A3: “Tools for accelerating the transition”and the specific project activity is titled: “Determine design frames for identification, activation & acceleration-tools” (deliverable A3.4).
