README *** Creating a look-up table to estimate amount of magnetic tracer (ug) based on their magnetic signal (uV) *** Author: L. Molenaar Contact information: l.molenaar@utwente.nl or l.alic@utwente.nl Magnetic Detection & Imaging group Technohal, University of Twente The Netherlands *** General introduction *** This dataset contains data collected during SPaQ measurments with two sample series (eight samples each, sixteen in total). The experiment was performed at the University of Twente, as part of Lennert Molenaar's PhD Thesis project (2021) which was financially supported by NWO, under the MagLap project with number 14322. It is being made public both to act as supplementary data for publications and the PhD thesis of Lennert Molenaar and in order for other researchers to use this data in their own work. *** Purpose of the experiment *** The purpose of this experiment was to create a look-up table (LUT) based on various amount of magnetic tracer with known concentration. With this LUT it is possible to estimate the amount of magnetic tracer inside a sample (e.g. lymph node) based on a measured magnetic signal with the SPaQ. *** Test equipment *** All tests were performed with the SPaQ (DOI: doi.org/10.1063/1.5039150). This in-house developed magnetometer enables precise and concise magnetic signal measurements. *** Description of the data in this data set *** The data included in this data set has been organised with the following structure: Sample #, ug iron, uL, Type of tracer, background signal, magnetic signal. In total 8 samples of Sienna+ and 8 samples of Magtrace have been measured 10 times each, resulting in a total number of 160 measurements.
