***The 2010 Dengue Shock in Colombia and the Standarized Test Results in 2008-2013***

***Description***
This dataset contains the mathematics and reading z-scores of a Colombian 
standarized test called "Saber 11", along with students' and students' 
household characteristics. It includes a dummy variable equal to 1 if a 
student was living in a municipality for which the number of dengue cases 
per 100,000 inhabitants was zero in the years 2008 and 2009, but positive 
in the year 2010. The data covers the period 2008-2013 and it is restricted 
to municipalities located at or below 1,200 meters above the sea level (as 
dengue disease is more common at these altitudes).

0 to 10 (where 0 means “none education” and 10 “graduate studies”) 
-eestrato:social stratum (the social stratification by law, ranging from 1 to 
6 —1 indicating the lowest and 6 the highest, with each strata sharing similar 
socioeconomic characteristics; a few students classified as a strata 8 —not 
stratified, were omitted from the database) 
-ehacin_d: dummy equal to 1 if the number of people per dormitory in the 
student's household was equal or greater than 2.5 
-eingresom: ranging from 1 to 7, according to the number of minimum wages 
earned by the household unit on a monthly basis (1: less than 1 minimum wage; 
2: between 1 and 2; 3: between 2 and 3; 4: between 3 and 5; 5: between 5 and 
7; 6: between 7 and 10; 7: more than 10)
-eingresom2: recodification of eingresom, where 1: less than 1 minimum wage; 
2: between 1 and 2; 3: more than 2  
-esexo: dummy equal to 1 if student is male
-edadz: standarized age of student 
-edad2z: square of the standarized age of student
-municipio: municipality code where the student lives according to DANE 
-col_mun: unique code for the combination of municipality's and school's coded
