# Read me for Supporting data for Simulating horizontal crustal motions of GIA using compressible cartesian models
# This dataset includes input files for the Abaqus models, and the horizontal output data of the ICEAGE runs for the paper titled 'Simulating horizontal crustal motions of glacial isostatic adjustment using compressible cartesian models'. It also contains output data for the FastLove-HiDeg and AFCAL models that were used for the supplementary material of the paper.
# data for each Figure are contained within folders. The file formats are:
Abaqus inp files for the cartesian models
.dat output files for ICEAGE and FastLove-HiDeg models
.out output files for the AFCAL model
# The model names are as follows:
SM: the compressible spherical ICEAGE model
NG: the compressible cartesian Abaqus model using the NG formulation
EF: the material compressible cartesian Abaqus model using the EF formulation
SM-I: the incompressible spherical ICEAGE model
NG-I: the incompressible cartesian Abaqus model using the NG formulation
EF-I: the incompressible cartesian Abaqus model using the EF formulation
For the supplementary Figures the following models have also been used:
FastLove-HiDeg: An incompressible spherical model based on the normal mode method. This model is benchmarked in Spada et al. (2011).
AFCAL: An incompressible axisymmetric spherical Abaqus model using the EF formulation. This model is benchmarked in benchmark A of Martinec et al. (2018).
Note: the Abaqus models are based on the finite element method (FEM).
