Box 5015 2600 GA Delft The Netherlands ***General Introduction*** This dataset contains data collected in the study 1 of user experiments (chapter 2, page 11-32) as a deliverable (D2.7) for the EU H2020 project Safe-DEED (Safe Data-Enabled Economic Development). The project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 825225. The deliverable will be available in the following link: https://safe-deed.eu/deliverables/ It is being made public both to act as supplementary data for D2.7 and in order for other researchers to use this data in their own work. The data in this data set was collected between 21 June - 21 July 2021 by researchers at the ICT section, ESS Department, Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management, Delft University of Technology, as work package leader of this deliverable (WP2). ***Study objective*** The purpose of our experiments was to examine three demonstrators developed in the Safe-DEED project to provide insights into how users perceive privacy-preserving technologies concerning their benefits, complexity, control, security, trustworthiness, and willingness to use. ***Procedure*** We performed a one-group pre-test post-test design by measuring expectations before and perceptions after using the demonstrators. Each demonstrator was evaluated separately in which participants were asked to perform various tasks. We measured six aspects: perceived trustworthiness, perceived complexity, perceived security, perceived control, perceived benefit, and willingness to use. Please refer to the deliverable and sheet "survey questions" in the dataset for more detail about the survey questions. ***Description of the data in this data set*** The data included in this data set has been organised per survey. For more details, please refer to the sub-section 2.1 of D2.7 (page 11-16).
