This is a piece of code simulating the operating process of the Rb-Tm repeater chain setup introduced in the paper. It uses the Monte-Carlo method to simulate the probabilistic processes of element entanglement generation, entanglement transfer, and entanglement swapping as the repeater operations. Finally, it returns the average secret key rate as the metric for the performance of the repeater chain setup.
