N2 - <p>This is the dataset used in the publication: Realization of a one-dimensional topological insulator in ultrathin germanene nanoribbons. In this publication, we present a transition from a 2D topological insulator with 1D edge states towards a 1D topological insulator with 0D end states in ultrathin germanene nanoribbons. We use STM, STS, uLEED and theory to explain our findings. The dataset presented here contains STS and STM data obtained using an Omicron Low-Temperature Scanning Tunneling Microscope (LT-STM) at 77K.</p>
