This dataset contains all input and output datasets required to reproduce the figures of the accompanying paper. This research combines and compares different types of coastal remote sensing datasets in order to assess the potential of remote sensing techniques to detect a geometrical relationship between sea level rise and shoreline retreat for a case study at the Terschelling barrier island at the Northern Dutch coast. The input data comprises different types of coastal observations from secondary sources. These are shoreline positions, sea level from altimetry and from tide gauges, vertical land motion from GNSS, land elevation data (JARKUS dataset) and auxiliary datasets (e.g. mean sea level pressure, land ocean mask). The output comprises sea level (from altimetry and tide gauges) corrected for atmospheric pressure and tides, as well as the individual corrections, timeseries of cross-shore changes computed with different parameter settings, cross-shore timeseries computed as the intersection between sea level and land elevation from JARKUS and beach slopes.
