This repository contains publicly available supporting documents towards the publication "TIMEWISE: Temporal Urban Dynamics for Urban Resilience - Lessons from the Global North and South" . We conducted and analysed interviews with urban practitioners in India and The Netherlands.

All interview data in this study were collected through a GDPR-compliant framework and with approval from the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) at the parent institute. The publicly available datasets supporting the study's findings may be accessed at DOI: 10.4121/22220398. Restrictions apply to the availability of the interview participants' personal data per the consent form signed by all participants. Datasets containing personally identifiable information data are for verification and validation only; they may not be used for further research and are available upon request until March 2023, after which they will be deleted.

The interviews discussed how practitioners account for long-term climate risks and uncertainties while preparing urban planning strategies. Participants answered a series of questions through semi-structured interviews to reflect on the following:

  1. the requirements and constraints city planning authorities and experts face while charting goals to manage long-term climate risks and uncertainties.
  2. the variables and values that guide long-term urban planning actions (climatological, environmental, cultural, socio-economic and technological).
