The preservation and activation of architectural heritage, which carries precious urban memories, is becoming an important issue in the world. Multi-sensory interactive landscape installations can stimulate people to better understand and experience the value of historical heritage. This study takes Chongqing International Village community as an example, and uses sensory walks and acoustic data measurement, behavioural observation, questionnaires and interviews to evaluate and investigate the site heritage; and through audio-visual interaction experiments to determine the audio-visual combinations applicable to the radio station heritage. Finally, the multi-sensory interactive landscape design of the radio station is carried out from a practical point of view, and strategic suggestions for the conservation and activation of architectural heritage are proposed. The objective is to provide new theoretical and practical perspectives for heritage conservation and activation from the perspective of multi-sensory interaction and public participation. It is a combined experimental and design study, and the type of data provided mainly includes questionnaires during the process, picture materials and audio materials of the audio-visual interaction experiments and programme descriptions of the design projects.
