This dataset presents single-grain 40Ar/39Ar geochronological results generated from detrital muscovite samples belonging to the Indus Group, Ladakh using laser step-heating and mass spectrometry. The research objective is to constrain the timing of India-Asia collision by dating individual muscovite mineral grains at high precision. This is hypothesis-driven geochronological research, designed to reconstruct provenance histories in the studied region. Data were collected through laboratory argon extraction and isotopic analysis, with detailed analytical parameters and standards recorded. The dataset consists of numerical measurements of isotopic ratios, step-heating conditions, decay constants, and derived ages (in Ma), organized in tabular format suitable for reproducible geochronological analysis. The data was collected at the New Mexico Geochronology Laboratory at the New Mexico Tech. This dataset is part of the Tectonics journal article titled "Timing of the India-Kohistan Ladakh Arc and India-Asia Collisions Based on Detrital Muscovite Provenance of the Indus Group, Ladakh, NW India".
