Data and plotting scripts used for paper "Nonlinear Evolution of the Unstratified Polydisperse Dust Settling Instability" Aly & Paardekooper 2025, Astronomy & Astrophysics.

The Dust Settling Instability is thought to be triggered at the early stages of disc formation, and may play a role in planet formation. Here we numerically investigate its non-linear growth rate, paying close attention to the effects of spatial resolution and whether the dust consists of one or multiple species with different sizes.

The paper uses numerical hydrodynamics algorithms (Idefix and Fargo3D) to simulate the Dust Settling Instability in a local shearing box. The data (snapshots and time evolution tables), along with the plotting scripts are provided here.
