The case study with the game The Human Firewall was conducted as part of the GAMPSISS project, funded by The Dutch Research Council (NWO).

For the study, three surveys were designed and analyzed (one pre-game and two post-game surveys).

The first two surveys were used to compare participants’ pre- and post-game scores to explore significant differences regarding participants’ knowledge, attitude, subjective norm, perceived control, responsibility, and behavior concerning secure information handling. The third survey again measured participants’ behavior and was limited to a few essential concrete behaviors in the workplace.

The survey results are used for the dissertation Game Design for a Sustainable Society (Delft University of Technology).
