abstract: "<p>Data files on which the studies presented in chapters 3-6 of the Ph.D. thesis of Renske van den Berge are based. The main objective of the thesis was to explore how design can prevent premature obsolescence by encouraging consumers to prolong the lifetimes of electronic products via repair. Chapter 3 was based on a qualitative interview study among Dutch consumers, for which the written interview transcripts are provided. Chapters 4, 5, and 6 were quantitative experimental studies with consumers, for which the means of the used variables are provided in spreadsheets.</p>"
