Here we provide Tables S1-S7 for Figures 2-8, respectively, to support the conclusions. Table S1 show the hydrological and tidal characteristics of the Jiulong River Estuary during 2019 that collected from local hydrological stations (ZD, PN) and tide-gauge (Shima). Table S2 show comparison of surface and bottom salinity, and variation trend of surface SPM and bottom turbidity during the storm observation (June 10th - June 23rd, 2019) at Station E of the Jiulong River Estuary. Table S3-S5 show daily concentration and flux of SPM and phosphorus at the outlets of the Jiulong River and comparison between the value of Station E and river sum. Table S6 show daily concentration of particulate phosphorus and their ratios to SPM at Station E during the storm period. Table S7 show relationship between daily phosphorus concentration and the discharge at the river outlets in the West River and the North River during the storm observation.
