cff-version: 1.2.0 abstract: "
The objectives of this study were to elucidate how changes in seed morphological characteristics during germination affect the potential of secondary hydrophily transport and the successful establishment of saltmarsh species. We conducted two rounds of flume experiments with different scenarios and a series of field investigations, focus on two pioneer saltmarsh species: Scripus mariqueter and Spartina alterniflora. These files include the data used to create each figure in the manuscript, organized as follows:
1. Flume study
a. Seed characteristics
b. Secondary dispersal onset of superficial seeds
c. Secondary dispersal onset of sedimentary seeds
2. Field investigation
a. Tidal current conditions
b. Bed elevation changes
c. Water level
d. Monthly temperature
