Dataset
This dataset contains the supporting materials for Chapter 4 of Yusuke Kawasaki’s PhD project and the corresponding journal article published in GJI, which present a synthetic investigation of 3D FWI for estimating subsoil density. It includes synthetic seismic data, input files for the FWI workflow, investigation results, and the associated codes for FWI and result visualization. This dataset supports research aimed at demonstrating the advantages of using a horizontal-force seismic source for achieving more reliable density estimation in 3D FWI, compared with the use of a conventional vertical-force source.
