Erosive Bar Migration Using Density and Diameter Scaled Sediment; Erosive Profile Set - Prototype Scale (Actual Scale 1:10)
datasetposted on 03.07.2011 by Adam Keen
Datasets usually provide raw data for analysis. This raw data often comes in spreadsheet form, but can be any collection of data, on which analysis can be performed.
Erosive conditions (scale 1:10) were used to model the offshore migration of a shore parallel and bar. Testing followed the testing regime used during the SANDS project. Sediment was scaled in both density and diameter (ρs = 1200 kg/m3 and d50 = 0.54 mm) allowing the Shields number, particle Reynolds number and relative fall velocity to be preserved.
